About us

Pac training LLP was incorporated on 24/11/2005 and is directed by Steve Backley OBE.

The mission statement of PAC training is:

To make a positive difference to all persons wanting to improve their sporting abilities or general health and fitness, and to give those who coach people in sport or fitness the means to make the difference.

PAC provides it services through an on-line community. We offer:

  • Fully interactive forums for coaches to exchange, share and discuss information on all aspects of training and sports preparation

  • A searchable video directory that houses hundreds of high-quality clips of training exercises performed with expert technique. Includes resistance training, agility training, medicine ball training, sprint training, rehabilitation training and much more.

  • Technical articles on all aspects off preparation for sport written by experts in sport

  • Physical training programmes written by Steve Backley

  • Physical training programmes written by renowned experts in the sports and fitness industries

  • Nutritional programmes that include healthy eating plans, recipes, guidelines on correct supplementation, and training and eating modules for specific goals like weight-loss and muscle mass gain.

  • Effective prehabilitation training plans to prevent injury and rehabilitation plans following injury

  • Training products that reflect the PAC philosophy on physical preparation for sport, health and general fitness.

PACtraining has the benefit of a staff base that involves individuals who have competed at and/or worked in the highest levels of sport. Our collective experience and knowledge means that we can offer an effective training service. It also means that we have the training wisdom to realise that no one person or company has all the answers. This is why we have created the PAC community to enable sharing of training methods and ideas. Whether you are a coach, athlete, or someone starting out to improved health or fitness, at PAC you can ask the questions that you want to ask, and find the solutions that make the difference to you.

Steve is the first British athlete to have medalled at three consecutive Olympic Games. He has made the world top 10 every year since 1989 and on three occasions has been world number one.

After having retired from competitive sport, Steve now plays an integral role in coaching and mentoring athletes for UK-Athletics. As owner and director of PAC training LLP. Steve felt that it was time that he shared his unique perspective on physical preparation for sports with the general public. Having been coached by leading Eastern and Western European Coaches, his tried and tested routines offer an excellent amalgamation of a variety of coaching philosophies. Steve is responsible for the writing of all training programmes produced by PAC training.
